Hi, my name is John Lombardi, Jr. I was born and raised in the New London/Waterford area and have lived here my entire life. My father and mother immigrated from Italy in the early 1900’s. My family has been in business since the 1920’s starting with plumbing and heating/construction and migrating into agriculture. In the late 1930’s (and pre-World War II), we did all of our own construction. Upon graduating from Waterford High School, I formed an alliance with the Boris Kil family, a well-known local family.
We expanded the egg business and ventured into many Southeastern Connecticut towns. During the late 1980’s, my partner, Jerry Kil and I, along with fifteen other national egg producers learned about marketing and developed the brand, “Egglands Best.” In the meantime, we also embarked on developing land that we had acquired over the years into residential subdivisions. In 2004, my wife Holly and I became real estate brokers. The goal was to combine expertise in the construction and development industries along with the common sense approach to marketing.
We applied our building and marketing knowledge to a small personal approach to selling real estate. Over a decade later, although Holly has passed, Lombardi Realty still maintains the mission of using our construction, development and marketing knowledge to assist our clients for the purchase, construction or sale of properties.
